Chairman, Senate Committee on Appropriation, Senator Danjuma Goje has withdrawn from the Senate Presidency race.
Goje, who is said to have the support of the opposition members said he is stepping down to support Senator Ahmed Lawan, candidate of his party, All Progressives Congress for the Senate number one position.
He announced his decision on Thursday after a closed-door meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari at the presidential villa, Abuja.
