The Association of Medical Laboratory Scientists of Nigeria, LAUTECH Teaching Hospital Osogbo, has congratulated the new Chief Medical Director, Prof Peter Olaitan; describing his appointment as “well-earned reward for hard work, consistency, dedication to duty and track record of outstanding performance” in his previous appointments.
In a congratulatory message made available to Mouthpiece NGR on Wednesday, the association was extremely delighted to learn of the appointments, saying, “his appointment is a well deserved one.”
The statement which was signed by the chapter publicity secretary, Mr Ibukun Komolafe, encouraged the new CMD to keep his cordial relationship with all health professionals in the hospital.
It also urged him to scale up plans for the proposed PCR suite within the Hospital's Medical laboratory complex which if functional will write the hospital's name in gold and attract sponsors.
The statement reads “The Association of Medical Laboratory Scientists of Nigeria, LAUTECH Teaching Hospital Osogbo wishes to congratulate Prof Peter Olaitan on his well deserved appointment as the Chief Medical Director of the hospital by governor Gboyega Oyetola of State of Osun.”
“The Association notes his track records as a former Chairman, Medical Advisory Committee of the Hospital and as the immediate past Provost of the College of Health Sciences, LAUTECH Ogbomosho and encouraged him to keep his cordial relationship with all health professionals in the hospital.”
“The Association on the commemoration of International Biomedical Laboratory Scientists Day today, (a day set aside to celebrate Medical Laboratory Scientists all over the world for her key role in diagnosis, research, quality assurance and development in the modern medical Sciences) specifically notes the wonderful relationship between the new CMD and Medical Laboratory Scientists and applauded him for contributing to the wealth of knowledge of Medical Laboratory Scientists when he gave a lecture at one of their Continuous Professional Development Programs.”
“In view of the current Covid 19 pandemic, The Association calls on him to scale up plans for the proposed PCR suite within the Hospital's Medical laboratory complex which if functional will write the hospital's name in gold and attract sponsors.”
